Do you accept my insurance?

WPCC is an insurance friendly practice and we have a partnership with MENTAYA that allows you to submit requests to your insurance company for reimbursement. MENTAYA can also help determine, prior to your sessions, how much of your session cost your insurance will reimburse you. For more information click on the button.

Why Do you not recommend using Insurance?

Here are some of the reasons WPCC does not recommend using your insurance for counseling:
 
  1. Insurance requires a formal diagnosis whether or not you meet the criteria for a diagnosable mental illness.
  2. Insurance requires the sharing of your diagnosis and treatment notes.
  3. Your insurance premiums could rise as a result of a "pre-existing condition" at the time of renewal or changing of companies.
  4. Certain types of employment may require you to report official diagnoses.
  5. Your insurance can limit the number of sessions they will cover, only cover specific diagnoses and/or only cover certain types of therapy.
  6. Some insurance may require continual justification as to why you are receiving treatment.
  7. Your insurance may not pay toward certain diagnoses.

What are your payment options?

WPCC accepts payment in the form of credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AMEX). Payments are due prior to the day of your appointment. Payments are made through our counseling portal. We offer a sliding fee scale to clients who qualify. We will do our best to ensure that you are able to pay what you can afford. We prioritize people!
